Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the at the time. Within 10 weeks of her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in every event.
