Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Alison Doody first made a film debut as the Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte was in Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody took up modelling, which turned into an industry-related career in modelling. Doody avoided nude and glamour work, a rule that was carried into her acting. After being spotted by to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 at the time she was cast in the role as a Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. A different early film played a tiny part in the film in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. The episode aired in 1988 with John Hurt, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist for forensics in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody was a co-star in the year 1991 alongside Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called The Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson character. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody who was off acting for more than 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small part on her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her in a scene at the ceremony for awards. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also appear in the remake of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011 she began the first of two seasons in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. She received the Almeria film award on November 21, 2018.
