Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the at the time. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she won the title against her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
